Very nice, Julie. I've only ever knitted one thing in my life (believe it or not): a scarf for my then boyfriend. Guess it turned out okay, because we've been married for 27 years.
My mom knits and does a lot of crochet and I wish I could too. I really need to take the time and learn from her. Love the colors you chose btw. Hope we get to see it finished. (:
